Stupa Project Stupa Consecration, mantra rolling, and tsa tsa making in Arkansas

unnamedFrom the Tibetan Cultural Institute of Arkansas | PO Box 269 | Fayetteville | AR | 72702

We are excited to announce that the beginnings of the Stupa will be poured this week! The first steps after the foundation is poured is to have a consecration ceremony where we place items that symbolize violence against others and ourselves (guns, knives, arrows, etc.) and place them within an opening in the foundation and then fill it with sand. This is a key ceremony in the building of a stupa and one that involves the entire community.

We are very lucky to have the Mystical Arts of Tibet in town this week and they have graciously agreed to come to the site and help us with the consecration ceremony with chanting and prayers. We would love to have everyone that wishes to attend.

If you would like an item placed in the Stupa but cannot make it on Saturday, feel free to drop it off at Geshe-la’s home, who’s address is below, anytime before Saturday morning.

If you have any questions or concerns feel free to email me at

Help Roll Mantras and
Create Tsa Tsas
with Pema Rinchen

As we get closer to laying down the beginning of the stupa we are trying to ready what will be placed on the inside. Pema Rinchen has flown down from Calgary Canada to help us in this endeavor. Throughout the month of July he will be at Geshe-la’s house instructing whomever wishes to participate from 2 PM – 5 PM. This is one of the easiest ways to get involved with the stupa and many of these sacred items will be needed to complete the stupa so we’d love to have as many volunteers be involved. For more information visit our website here. Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns at
